         PNA: Phinney Neighbors in Action

Neighbors helping neighbors is the guiding theme behind this volunteer group. The goal of PNAction is to improve the quality of peoples lives through community-based service projects. Those in need are helped through projects such as toiletry drives, yard work for elderly and disabled neighbors, meals for homeless women, and street cleanups.

Community building through volunteerism is an important mission of the PNA and you, too, can make a difference through Phinney Neighbors in Action. To participate, call (206) 783-2244 or email pna@phinneycenter.org.

Current PNAction project: School supply drive

The back-to-school season is upon us and we are again accepting donations of school supplies for Whitman Middle School.

Our wish list includes two-inch white binders; college-ruled notebook paper and dividers; composition books; ballpoint pens, highlighters, pencils and erasers; colored pencil and felt-tip pen sets; post-it notes and index cards.

It’s fine to supplement this list, but please give only new items. Donations can be dropped off in the main office of the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave.N., anytime from 9 a.m.–9 p.m. on weekdays or 9 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturdays, throughout September
