About the CTC
In 2000 the PNA received a matching
grant from the Technology
Division
of the City of Seattle to develop
a new Community Technology Center for residents of Seattle's north end
neighborhoods. The center has nine teaching stations and two community access stations.
The CTC has been up and running for over two years with classes
meeting each quarter.
The following classes were offered in
various quarters

Searching -Producing Web Pages for Fun -Seniors
Training Seniors in Computer Basics -Shopping on the Web
-Under the Hood: Hardware Removal and Installation
Public Access Computers: 750Mhz – 256MB
RAM – 20GB Hardrive OS: Windows 2000
Programs : Acrobat Reader 5.0, Excel, PowerPoint &
Word 2000, Eudora Email, Internet Explorer, PKZip, SSH FTP, and
Microsoft Photo Editor. Peripherals: A shared
printer.
Lab Computers: 750Mhz – 256MB RAM – 20GB
Hardrive OS : Windows 2000
