PNA Village has expanded to serve Ballard, Broadview, and Bitter Lake in addition to Phinney & Greenwood.
Join us for a short presentation and Q&A on the PNA Village - a program of the PNA that supports our elder neighbors in staying in the homes and the communities that they love. Shoreline Concert Band
Tuesday, May 16, 7:30 PM
Shorewood High School, just west of Highway 99 at 175th St. in Shoreline.
Admission is free; Voluntary donations are welcome.  
The Village’s own Don Swisher plays the flute in the Shoreline Concert Band!  They will be performing along with other groups from the Shoreline College music department, including a choral group and a jazz group. They will be playing Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, a Spanish Pasodoble piece, a Ballad for solo sax and band by a well-known 20th century band composer, an extremely difficult piece by R. Vaughan Williams, and one short piece by a local composer.  The school has ample parking and the facility is handicap accessible with convenient wheel chair seating space.  If you plan to attend, let us know and we will put you in touch with others who plan to attend: or 206-789-1217


Ballard Bakery Bunch

We are starting a brand new social group!  Join fellow volunteers and members at Larsen’s Bakery.  Grab a treat or coffee, meet old and new friends, and hang out for a while.  We will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.


Village Theater Outing: The Producers; A Mel Brooks Musical
Sunday, May 21st, 3:00 PM
Shoreline CC Theater - 1600 Bldg. 16101 Greenwood Ave N, Shoreline, 98133
Join us for a wonderfully hilarious production of The Producers; A Mel Brooks Musical at Shoreline Community College. Half price tickets are available for $10 for PNA Village members, volunteers, & associated friends. The theatre is intimate & performers will be miked (for any with hearing impairment). The Theater is accessible, & handicapped parking is outside their front doors by the parking lot. The campus is reachable by METRO's #5 bus, which goes directly to the campus. The theatre is reached from the bus stop by a 3-5 minute walk across a well signed campus. To reserve a ticket please contact coordinator Ronnie Wolfe right away Payment can be made to the Shoreline CC and turned into the Village Office.




Ballard Bakery Bunch
3rd Wednesday of every month: 10 – 11:30 AM

Please join other Village members and volunteers at Larsen’s each month.  Grab a coffee or treat and socialize!  There’s no need to RSVP, just come when you can!

Village Monthly Happy Hours

4th Mondays of each month, 4 – 6 PM
The Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery, 8570 Greenwood Ave N.

Join fellow volunteers and members for some casual fun and socializing.  The Flying Bike serves drinks and you can order food to be delivered from Munch Café, next door.  Check out their websites for menus and pricing. The Flying Bike is kid and dog friendly.


Second Wednesday Book Sharing Group
2nd Wednesday of each month, 11:00 AM – Noon
Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.

Our meetings are a lively mix of discussion, getting to know one another, talking about current books we are reading, and our favorite types of reading. The Couth Buzzard has drinks and snacks available. Bring a favorite or current book to tell us about.


Understanding Happiness

There is excellent research on the subject of happiness. In this group we’ll explore how to act on this research and create happier lives. The focus will be on congenial conversation and the importance of relationships and community. Contact Cecile Andrews for more information. (

Read all about it! Talk all about it! Join us in congenial conversation about current news events. (An experience we are in dire need of!) We’ll be in our wonderful local bookstore/coffee house, Couth Buzzard. No need to come prepared with anything, just a desire for wonderful conversation!

We write everything from memoirs, short and long stories, poetry, songs, to PR copy. Join us with old projects and new in a supportive, fun atmosphere.


Theatre Outings Group
Sundays as announced: Matinees at Shoreline Community College

Block Printing
with instructor Susan Waite
4 Fridays: May 5 – 26, 12:30 – 3 PM
Greenwood Senior Center
$50 PNA members/$58 general public plus $20 class supply fee.
Register: 206-297-0875
Hand print your unique designs with easy to carve Safety-Kut blocks.  This four week class will cover the beginning printing process, from designing and carving with linoleum tools, to preparing the ink and printing successfully.
